Fleur Delacour Costume

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=313464.msg3604270#msg3604270

Prendolyn the Weird blogs all Harry Potter crafts, all the time at Wilcox Wizard Wear. Click through to read five posts detailing how she made this wonderful Fleur Delacour costume to wear to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She did everything from sewing the dress and capelet to painting a pair of shoes to making the wool hat. (Is there a verb for hat making? Besides hat making?) I am in awe and plan on spending some quality time reading her entire blog.

Crocheted Pygmy Puffs

I am seeing so many cool Harry Potter crafts this week in honor of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opening this week (which I will be watching in an hour – yea!!!!!!!). Craftster user norecliner, along with her mom and sister, crocheted a boxful of Pygmy Puffs and then handed them out at the movie theater! They used a pattern from Ravelry (not sure which one, so here’s a list) and did such a great job using different textured yarn.

Harry Potter Horcruxes T-Shirt

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=312448.msg3591082#msg3591082

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is opening in just a few short days and I’ve been seeing a lot of cool shirts people are making to wear to the premiere. Craftster jilltheimpossible made this shirt – click through to see the back – Make Love Not Horcruxes. Now I’m regretting not re-reading the books beforehand.

I’d love to see more Harry Potter crafts!

Ron Weasley Doll

We are currently all Harry Potter all the time in our house. In the past couple of months, we’ve watched all five movies so we’d be ready for #6, and my little guy and I have been reading the first book, a chapter a night. Now he’s watching Potter Puppet Pals on YouTube, probably completely inappropriate, but very funny. Funny and awesome craftiness. But he just asked me the question I always love and dread at the same time – can I make him a Harry Potter puppet? Love because he thinks I can make anything and dread because half the time it’s beyond my crafting abilities. Any other crafty moms have that problem?

Anyway, all this to say that I took a spin through Etsy to see if anyone else is making Harry Potter puppets right now and found these very sweet dolls, including Ron Weasley,  by GirlCalledRic. I love the little Gryffindor necktie! More Potter characters, Star Trek and some super heroes in her Etsy shop.

5 Amigurumi Sackboys by causticmuse

I just came across this amazing crocheter (is that a word?) – Maggie Wang aka causticmuse – on Craftster. She has made a whole bunch of cool, very geeky amigurumi dolls based on Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet. I couldn’t pick a favorite as they’re all great, so here are five:
