Tutorial Tuesday: Angry Birds Pig Plushie

crafters love angry birds… FACT

Craftster user Miss Jols shares with us a tutorial on how to make the bad guy we love to hate (but secretly love to love, and would love to squoosh!) out of green fleece!

Don’t pretend you wouldn’t make 6 of them, pile them up in the corner and throw stuff at them until you’d knocked them all over…  no? … just me then …

“Having a luck dragon with you is the only way to go on a quest!”

Ohhh, you guys, you are not going to believe this! I found an eReader/tablet cover that looks like the book from The Neverending Story! (Am I dating myself, here? I hope not. I loved that movie when I was a kid and can still quote large swaths of it from memory.)

The cover is made by GrimcatProductions, on Etsy, and it is delightful! As the product description says, “Modern digital book readers and tablets can holds thousands and thousands of books – truly a never-ending supply!”

I’d really like to have one of these, but my Sony Reader Pocket Edition already has a very pretty case (also from Etsy). You’d better believe this Neverending Story cover is on my wish list if I upgrade, though! And then? Maybe I’ll finally read the book. (I’m a terrible librarian, sometimes.)

Tutorial Tuesday! Angry Birds Ball Game

Via Pinterest.

Homemade Beauties By Heidi brings us this fantastic tutorial for an Angry Birds can toss game.

This is great, kinda like angry birds in real life… means you and the kids can have a happy green-pig-smashing-time even when you’ve lost the charger for your Ipad.

I’d be so tempted to tell one of those parent lies, you know, “this is how we used to play angry birds when I was your age.” That kind of thing.

Paper Dolls by Breeyn McCarney and Christopher Lewis

LED-paper-dressI really love when something simple becomes something outrageous and astonishing–like Paper Dolls, the project by best friend pair Breeyn McCarney and Christopher Lewis. Breeyn took paper crafting to a wholly different building (forget a new level!) making these gorgeous, hand cut paper dresses. Then, because that wasn’t awesome enough, Chris rigged these babies up with LED lighting, and remote controls!

Now, all of that is pretty amazing, but stand by for the REALLY cool part. Tomorrow at 9pm EST, Bree and Chris will be on the web show Nat and Marie, showcasing these amazing dresses, and you (yes, YOU) can interact with the dresses from your browser or smart phone! High fashion, high tech, social networking…is there anything they can’t do?

So be sure to catch Paper Dolls on Nat and Marie tomorrow at 9pm EST, and watch Geek Crafts next week for the follow up interview with Breeyn and Chris! While you wait for the show, you absolutely MUST watch this video.

Angry Birds Stitch Markers

Angry Birds Stitch MarkersCraftster user Leslieshappyheart made these cute yet angry Angry Birds stitch markers out of polymer clay for a knitting swap partner. I have to admit that I haven’t played Angry Birds yet, but the crafts I’m seeing from it are awesome. Anyone else have any?

(Leslie also makes and sells adorable purses in her Etsy shop–check them out!)
