Caroline e-mailed us here at Geek Crafts to let us know what Heather Mann at Dollar Store Crafts had been up to–these adorable Star Wars Finger Puppets! Very cute, very simple and very fun. She used some craft felt, googly eyes and a little cardboard to reinforce our heroes heads.
JezebelCharms has an a amzing selection of the most beautiful sci fi inspired jewelry I have ever seen on display at her etsy shop! Just take a look at this Doctor Who Blink Steampunk Necklace, most Doctor Who charms are pretty obvious, but I don’t thinkI would blink (pardon the pun) if I saw this pretty piece on some one in office attire.
I continue to be amazed at the creativity and detail in cake decorating. Geek Craft reader Laurel Taylor made this amazing (yes, it’s so amazing I keep saying amazing) 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea cake for her son.
“My son’s favorite movie is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, so when he asked for a submarine cake for his 5th birthday, he didn’t want just any plain submarine… he has no idea how spoiled he is that mommy can decorate cakes!”

Geek Craft reader Alison Oddy submitted these adorable (albeit a bit random – I love random), knit Star Trek meerkats that she sells at www.folksy.com. She’ll knit up your very own meerkats (choose from Captain Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Scotty and Bones) complete with uniforms, gold emblems and accessories. She says,
“Beam me up an order, and I will boldly knit!”
Like The Next Generation better? Alison also makes a Captain Picard meerkat.
Is Mystery Science Theater 3000 still on? That show always cracked me up, although watching any movie with my husband usually produces a similar effect. Craftster user MageAkyla crocheted this Tom Servo plush for her very lucky brother. Brilliant use of additional materials and that sleepy eye is hilarious.
John at Superpunch featured these amazing Geeky Easter Eggs, and I thought I would share it today so anyone who is like me, and waits until the night before Easter to decorate eggs can try some of these amazing ideas!
Above is the Bender egg, the binary egg and the soon-to-be ever-so-popular Yoda egg.
