Geeky Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Patterns

Just in time for tomorrow’s spooky big day, I found some fabulous pumpkin carving templates with a dash of geeky flair, and a side of Joss.

That’s right – Firefly-inspired jack-o-lanterns. Aw yeah.

  1. Ooooh! I want myself a firefly pumpkin design. Tough decision though, Wash or Malc? Or I could buy 2 pumpkins. =)

  2. Some space geek friends of mine and I had a Space-O-Lantern carving night a week or so ago. I carved a Yuri GagarKin & friends carved space shuttles and even Wernher von Braun pumpkin. We were inspired by our friend and scientist for the International Space Station, Liz Warren, who carves amazing space shuttle patch pumpkins: http://www.flickr.com/photos/spasmunkey/sets/72157623615058670/with/4430316755/

We had so much fun, we decided there needed to be a World Wide Space-O-Lantern Carving Day on the last Friday before Halloween. You can read more about it here: http://averagejanecrafter.blogspot.com/2011/10/today-is-first-ever-world-wide-space-o.html

I also helped my son create a Pikachu pumpkin for school. :)

  3. That’s completely awesome, Rachel! I love your idea for a worldwide holiday, and would certainly endorse it! Thanks for sharing all your links!
