Half-Life Headcrab Cushion

Half-Life Headcrab Cushion

Have you seen Half-Life this headcrab cushion? I want one. Even if it is just so I can wear it on my head occasionally and flail my arms around the living room.

This amazing creation was posted on the Craftster.org forum by user luchadork138. Take a look at her post as there are more great photos of it, though this is the only one of the dog I’m afraid. Man, that’s one brave puppy.

Mini Minions!

crochet amigurumi minions

In honor of the recent release of Despicable Me 2 (which was a fun flick, even though we had no children with us), here is the pattern for some crochet mini Minions! Aren’t they adorable? They would look great adorning someone’s cube at work, or stuffed in a toddler’s chubby little hand. :)

Spock Bacon Art

st-bacon1

Jesse Azarian of Plainfield, VT has painted two portraits of Spock from Star Trek: TOS that are pretty interesting: he’s contemplating a slice of bacon.

Each of the paintings are 12″ x 15″, acrylic on Masonite, and are available in Jesse’s Etsy shop for $250 each. And yes, Vulcans are vegetarians, so maybe that’s why Spock is so interested in the bacon. He’s never had it before.

Pet Semetary Cross Stitch Sampler

Pet Semetary Cross Stitch Sampler

I’m a HUGE Stephen King fan, so of course I was super-stoked to hear about the new tv show Under The Dome. I loved the book (which, by the way, is also HUGE), and when I heard that Hank from Breaking Bad (Dean Norris) was playing the baddie I was super-duper stoked!

Unfortunately, the internet says that there aren’t any Under The Dome crafts (Let’s try to remedy that, shall we?), so we’ll just have to make do with a Pet Semetary craft for the time being (and by “make do” I mean “this is awesome”). Emily of Pyro Dog Pins is the genius behind this cross stitch sampler, and the pattern is available for purchase at her Etsy shop.

Awesome Minecraft Illustration

Minecraft Birthday

Check out this superb Minecraft-inspired birthday card illustration, drawn by Tori for her boyfriend, Iggy, last month.

It’s Iggy, returning home to Tori after a hard day’s digging, in a very boxy world! I think this is seriously cute. While this image isn’t featured on her blog yet, you can keep an eye on Tori’s illustrations at IllustrateTor.wordpress.com.
