Math Mobile
I think every new parent goes through a lot to make sure their nursery has a special something that reflects both who they are and who they hope their little one will be. Miss Zish’s husband is a math major, so after he mentioned how cool a Math Mobile would be, she set to work with the sculpey and made it a reality! I never thought I’d be posting a craft from a parenting board, but this one was just so awesome I had to put it up! Love the little Pi! (via Babycenter).

Craftster user D.Bluemoon hand-embroidered these World of Warcraft onesies for a WoW-playing friend’s new baby.
Comics Baby Sling
This comics-themed baby sling (handmade by Portuguese crafter Maria Cafe) is pretty awesome! I love the fabric she used — here’s a detail shot of it.
You can find the sling (and tons more handmade crafts) in the craft hope Etsy shop. All crafts are donated by their makers and 100% of sales benefit Doctors Without Borders for their relief efforts in Haiti.
Star Wars Baby Shower Cake
Every once in awhile I scan cakewrecks in an effort to feel better about my cake decorating abilities, and come up short because they have chosen to post something like this Star Wars Baby Shower Cake made by Woulett Bakery. Honestly? I don’t have words other than: pure, deep fried, golden, awesome. The perfect geeky shower cake for the Dark-Side loving expectant parent in your life.
Torchwood Babiez
I was happily googling along, attempting to find Doctor Who themed clothes and/or toys for our impending baby (I like that, it sounds dramatic), when I ran across this awesome Torchwood fan comic Torchwood Babiez. Spastamagoria and Jigglycat have apparently worked very hard to represent our favorite Torchwood characters as cute little kids that you just kind of want to hug. And have no fear, the pet pterodactyl from the hub is even represented, as a cute little stuffed animal that Gwenn carried around, Tosh has her own mini Apple computer, and when we run into The Doctor, Rose is carrying a Dalek toy. I giggled through several pages, and it is safe to say I am now hooked on this particular livejournal blog.
Baby Viking Hat
Pregnancy comes with all kinds of inconvienences. You feel sick for the first three months and spend the majority of the time looking for a bathroom. It does have its advantages though, for instance, you can spend all of your free time looking a teeny cute clothes, toys and bedding and call it “planning” for your new baby. I was doing just that when I ran across babyrocksmohawks‘ Baby Viking Hat on etsy. Tell me this isn’t pure golden awesome. I was thrilled by her hot pink and “atomic blue” mohawk hats, but I think this Baby Viking Hat really takes the cake.
