Dave Hax made a DeLorean out of Pepsi cans. Pepsi sponsored the “Back To The Future” films and the cans are made from steel, perfect for a Delorean!

In reality, the DeLorean DMC-12 (commonly referred to simply as the DeLorean as it was the only model ever produced by the company) was an American sports car manufactured by John DeLorean’s DeLorean Motor Company for the American market from 1981–83. The car featured gull-wing doors and an innovative fiberglass chassis and underbody structure, along with that iconic brushed stainless steel body. Daves’s car also features the thrusters and Mr. Fusion, but unfortunately no flux capacitor!

What a great homage to the classic Back to the Future films. I love how Lynne took something so hard-angled and mechanical and made it into a soft, squeezable felt sculpture.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and click through to her LJ post to see the amazing amount of detail that went into this piece. She says that the engine alone took 16 separate pieces!

Though the DeLorean and its pattern do not seem to be for sale, Lynne does have a few other cool patterns available on her Etsy shop, including one for the Metallicar from Supernatural.

We *just* watched all three Back to the Future movies (how awful was the second one? And any suggestions for 80s movies that are appropriate for a 10-year-old?), so I was really excited to see these Marty McFly and Doc Brown peg people, complete with suspenders and jean jacket.
