Dragon Age 2 Cookies

Dragon Age 2 cookiesI just finished playing Dragon Age 2. Not to spoil anything, but sometimes I felt like it should have been called “Dragon Age: Sucks to Be You.” Or maybe that was just my play-through.

So, it cheered me up immensely to see all those beloved DA2 characters in gingerbread cookie form. Baked up by DeviantART user Lubyelfears, these tasty treats deliciously capture the likeness of the champion’s companions.

I can’t decide what I love more: Fenris’ frosting tattoos, the scowl on Aveline’s face, or the fact that Verric the dwarf is shorter and stouter than the rest of the cookies!

Bahamut Dungeons and Dragons Cake

I don’t play Dungeons and Dragons, but I do love regular dragons so I appreciate how awesome this cake is. PLUS it has  raspberry compote filling, and  buttercream frosting! Craftster user olmulekiller made this gorgeous 12 inch layer buttermilk cake and covered it in geeky goodness. And it’s not fondant, it’s real frosting, which makes it so much more impressive. It’s almost too pretty to eat. Almost…

Magic: The Gathering cookies

This has been around for a lil while, but The Domestic Scientist decorated these sugar cookies to look like all the different types of lands from Magic: The Gathering!  Read her post and she shares her clever way of stenciling on the designs…

Futurama Cake Roundup

Futurama is one of my all time favorite shows. I even have a Mars University t-shirt. And yet I’m ashamed to say that I have never had a Futurama cake. After seeing these, I may have to change that when my birthday rolls around.

Brainslug Cupcakes

These were such a hit last year that they were reproduced for the cast and crew for the final script reading of Season 6. The brainslugs are gum paste, and the brains are grenadine flavored buttercream frosting.

Planet Express Wedding cake

I want this at my wedding! I love how detailed it is. I wouldn’t want to cut into it! It looks like the Planet Express logo is actually fondant, not painted on.

New New York Wedding Cake

I love the New New York skyline on this one (from Edible Art Bakery). The back ground is painted on and the closer buildings are fondant. And the jetpack-wearing cat and dog from the pilot are on there!

Futurama Cupcake Toppers

These are gorgeous, and could go with any cupcake. The disks are fondant and edible marker (I have to get some!).  Plus, there’s a tutorial!

Bender’s Head Cake

I love that this birthday cake is actually Bender’s head, not just a picture of it. And it’s chocolate!

Mars University Wedding Cake

The bride and groom both love Futurama, so of course that’s what’s on their wedding cake. It even has Buggalo running around the bottom. No sign of the Wongs though.

Character Cupcakes

These are really cute. The Nibbler one is my favorite (I love his eyestock). From Unicorn Magic Baking Company.

I think I might have to bake something tonight. Hmm…

Have a great weekend!
