Jawa Chupa Chup cover
My eldest boy recently had a Star Wars birthday party. I was inspired by this pin, to sew some little cloaks for some lollipops, to make Jawa favors. I took notes and photos as I went, so I figured I may as well share the tutorial on my blog.
Of course, if you aren’t sewing inclined, but can’t do without these, the original pin I was inspired by points to a store, so you can buy some too!
Celestial Sphere Pops
If you have a nerdy valentine who isn’t a fan of chocolate Vintage Confections makes all sorts fo goodies, nerd and non-nerd themed.
My husband and I are both smitten with the history of astronomy so these celestial sphere lollipops caught my eyes and taste buds! These are completely edible. Don’t ask me how :-)
READER SUBMISSION: Invincibility Star Earrings
Rossana from Roka Cola sent me a link to their shop, and it was like being a kid in a candy store! I mean, it really was, because in addition to these super cool Invincibility Star Earrings, and other great Nintendo, WoW, Portal, Star Trek and zombie stuff made from polymer clay, they also have a lot of fun jewelry made to look like candy, cupcakes, and all manner of delicious things. The Roka Cola Shop it definitely worth checking it out, it is a gold mine of geeky, sweet, and all around awesome polymer clay jewelry and figurines.
Boba Fett Pez Dispenser
Cory Doctorow posted this ridiculously awesome Boba Fett Pez dispenser on boingboing. Flickr user Switthoft made it “using the lost wax casting process with an organic burnout. The material is silicon bronze. The original sleeve for the Pez broke, so I cannibalized parts from another dispenser: Simba from the Lion King.”
