I am seeing so many cool Harry Potter crafts this week in honor of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opening this week (which I will be watching in an hour – yea!!!!!!!). Craftster user norecliner, along with her mom and sister, crocheted a boxful of Pygmy Puffs and then handed them out at the movie theater! They used a pattern from Ravelry (not sure which one, so here’s a list) and did such a great job using different textured yarn.
Geek Crafts reader Stacey Trock has a great pattern to crochet an amigurumi Linux penguin. There’s also a great selection of free patterns you can download.
I just came across this amazing crocheter (is that a word?) – Maggie Wang aka causticmuse – on Craftster. She has made a whole bunch of cool, very geeky amigurumi dolls based on Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet. I couldn’t pick a favorite as they’re all great, so here are five:

Is Mystery Science Theater 3000 still on? That show always cracked me up, although watching any movie with my husband usually produces a similar effect. Craftster user MageAkyla crocheted this Tom Servo plush for her very lucky brother. Brilliant use of additional materials and that sleepy eye is hilarious.
