Creepily Accurate Bioshock ADAM Syringe

bioshock adam syringe

To tell the truth, I’ve never actually played BioShock. But I’ve seen screenshots and a bit of the game in action, and—even though I know I’m absurdly late to the party—I would still like to play it one of these days. I’ve also seen a helluva lot of cool BioShock costumes over the years, which only increases my interest. Any excuse to dress up! Especially if the accessories—like this homemade ADAM syringe—are this cool. Of course, I’d be a total poseur if I whipped out one of these any time soon—it’s obligatory that I play the game first! But I encourage any and all BioShiock fans to get crafty pronto.

Geek Glass

Hm. Geek-themed stained glass seems to be much more common than I’d previously suspected (see previous GC posts here, here, here, here, and here). But I have to add the work of stained glass hobbyest-turned-artist Judy Mascolo to the pile. She began creating Nerd Glass at the urging of her son, a videogame designer, and will no doubt be swamped with commissions now that she’s been featured on Boing Boing. I love the adorable, perfect Peashooter from Plants vs. Zombies, but I think my personal favorite might be Bender. Or maybe the Planet Express ship. It’s hard to go wrong with Futurama-themed stained glass in my book.

Comic Book Hair Bows

Comic Book Hair BowsI play a lot of video games, but in my youth I was hard into comic books.  My favorites were always Marvel comics, though Batman was cool too.  Lately I have been combining these two aspects of my life with Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds for the Xbox 360.  So it was with this inspiration that I went searching for my all time favorite comic book character, Deadpool, on Etsy.

It was on SherryKCreations shop page that I found these wonderful Hair Bows.  They aren’t exclusively Marvel Comics, but I can forgive that.

BAM! Go check out the Hair Bows!
