Cross-stitched Brains

I saw this shirt and said “whaaaaaaaat?” but in a good way! President Obama’s approval ratings may not be sky high right now, but he sure can kick some zombie butt, and we all want a POTUS who can lead the country through a zombie apocolypse! Chris Piers is responsible for this awesome Obama Versus Zombie illustration that you can find on tee shirts and more at Tinaseamonster’s etsy store.
Here are my favorite costumes that we’ve posted this year:
1. Brak by discomeat on Craftster
2. Zombie Potato by librarylolita on Craftster
I hate the smell of pumpkin so I was thrilled to see such a long thread on Craftster (and a couple other places) of jack o’ lanterns that I don’t have to look at in person. Here are the geekiest:
1. Muppets Dr. Bunsen and Beaker by knottie on Craftster

2. Carl Sagan by Kirk Mona on Twins City Naturalist

3. CSI Crime Scene by ConcreteJungler on Craftster

4. Dr. Who Dalek by sloth003 on Craftster

5. Lord of the Rings Gollum by bethiej78 on Craftster

6. The Simpsons Itchy & Scratchy by knottie on Craftster

7. Knit 1 Purl 2 by domUNIQUE on Craftster

Just in case this didn’t amuse me enough, here is a Zombie Potato costume from Craftster librarylolita.
Anthropomorphic food amuses me to no end, and this zombie potato from Craftster Kitty Ballistic is no exception. Sewn of felt with embroidered details, she says,
“Nathan is a bit of an outcast amongst his spuddy pals. They’re not really worried that he’s going to eat their brains on account of the fact that A) he doesn’t have a mouth and B) they’re tubers, they don’t have brains. They don’t even mind his unusual skin tone, although there have been rumours that his ’scar’ was drawn on with felt tipped pen. Nathan ignores their comments, he knows his moment in the spotlight will come. He’s just waiting for his big break - a starring role in “Dawn of the Vegetable Rack”.”
Yes, a zombie potato named Nathan. I love this. Kitty also makes mere mortal potatoes, in case you’re not into the current zombie craze.
