Zombie Mug Cozy
Mornings can be rough, but this cute-yet-scary mug cozy will keep you on your toes. It’s easy to crochet and fun to decorate. Crochet it (using the pattern below) while you’re watching your favorite episode of The Walking Dead, and it will keep your coffee (and/or tea) warm for years to come.
Supplies:
Loops & Threads: Impeccable Yarn (Color: Grass)
H/8 Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle
One Large Button
For Decoration: Buttons, Felt, Floss, Yarn, etc.
Pattern:
Step One: Ch 11.
Step Two: Sc in 2nd Ch from Hook and in each Ch across. Ch 1, Turn.
Step Three: Sc Across, Ch 1, Turn.
Step Four: Repeat “Step Three” until cozy is approx. 9 inches long.
Step Five: (To add button hole) Sc in next five st, ch 8, sc last five st. Fasten off.
Step Six: Sew Large Button to beginning edge opposite button loop.
Step Seven: Zombify! Attach buttons or felt for eyes, floss or yarn for mouths and scars, etc.
(This pattern is intended for an average-sized coffee mug. You can increase or decrease the length of the cozy to fit your mug if it is smaller or larger than average.)
Making this btw but with a brighter green, and it might turn into a creeper instead: http://t.co/TKISnd789z
