Make Your Own Gandalf Hat
Seems like the people in my house aren’t the only people enjoyingthe Lord of the Rings marathon airing on TNT this weekend. I mentioned it on Twitter and got several “@replies” that they were all doing the same. So in the spirit of the twelve straight hours of Lord of the Rings, I thought it might be fun to share a little how-to Make Your Own Gandalf Hat. Sally Pointer, hostess of the Pointy Hat Gallery, has featured this great Gandalf hat, complete with a little how to linked here. A list of supplies includes heavy weight felt, a sewing machine and patience (perhaps you could do this project while watching twelve straight hours of Frodo’s adventures?).
Good afternoon, I was on your web site and saw your pointy hats. I would be interested in obtaining several. One would be a Gandalf hat, and two regular pointy hats. One Royal Blue, ( dark royal blue if you have it.)One an emerald green or dark brown, middle weight felt all but the Gandalf hat that one heavy weight. Also what would the price be in U.S. dollars? The dimension around my head is in inches 23 3/8, and in M.29.
Thank You’ Jim Spellman (Caster)
Jim, we do not make these hats, this was a website we happened upon,. It appears the site is no longer available. You might have some luck with Etsy.com
The instructions for making the Gandalf hat can – as of today, anyway – be found at http://www.sallypointer.com/gandalfhat.htm .
