Oh, my word. I think these are the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. Craftster user giddygirly needle-felted presidents for a contest. She says,
“I entered a contest to celebrate the release of a new book (titled “Beards of our Forefathers”) and so I made a set of US presidents who wore beards. Except Garfield, because Garfield isn’t funny.
Each president is approx. 3 inches tall, and their heads are about the size of a penny or nickel.”
Every once in awhile I come across a particularly girly geek craft. Craftster user Inara says,
“I recently did a painting of Hello Kitty as the Mona Lisa for a swap, and the whole thing turned out so amusingly good that I took my concept drawings, cleaned them up a bit and made a screen.”
Bonus coolness: glow-in-the-dark paint!
Here’s a great Mario craft from Craftster user ConfusableBlonde: she embroidered different sprites on plastic canvas. A lucky swap partner will get add this to their home decor.
Hello readers! I’ve started a Flickr group for you all to share photographs of all your geeky endeavors. So start uploading…you never know what I may post here.
