Star Trek Pop Art Limited Edition Art Prints

I don’t know what it is about these two prints, but something about them just speaks to me. I need them both for my living room.

Illustrated by Kevin Keeton of London in 2012, he’s now given these two prints a home on Etsy. They are printed on photographic acid free paper with non toxic water based inks. The prints come in four different sizes: 15cm × 21 cm (Medium); 21cm × 30 cm (Large); 30cm × 42 cm (X-Large); and 42cm x 60 cm (XX-Large).

C is for Cameo

Thanks to EPBOT I have found the greatest set of geeky cameos. If the title of the post didn’t make it clear I’m sure the  Cookie Monster Cameo helps clear it up.  Geek Goddess Creations  has tons on hand crafted cameos following all sorts of crafty themes.

Geek Knitting: Geek-a-Long Blanket

Greetings geekcrafters! Today I wanted to share with you an ongoing geek project  – Latte and Llama’s Geek-a-Long blanket.

They are releasing one geek-themed square knitting pattern each week, including references to Sherlock, Battlestar Galactica, Harry Potter, the DC universe, and Avatar. They have also posted a FAQ for the project. The patterns are free, but they are encouraging donations to Child’s Play.

Like any good “a-long” project, it’s fun to interact with others who are working on the same project. It looks like this one has some good participation on Ravelry, with 500+ members in the group.

Just in Time For Whatever Holiday You Celebrate!

You know what would really bring this room together? A Spock candle! And as luck would have it, Hollywood Soul on Etsy has just such a candle!

This white wax candle stands 8″ tall, will burn for around 7 days, and features Spock, as portrayed by Leonard Nimoy. However, if your home or altar or whatever needs decorating, and Spock isn’t quite what you’re needing, Hollywood Soul has candles that feature The Dude, Miley Cyrus, Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi and loads of other celebrities in Photoshopped religious settings.

Pokeball Jewelry: Gotta Wear ‘Em All

Pokeball Jewelry Set by Linda Potts

Back in the day, my son was all about Pokemon. He had this set of cards that told little stories about each one, and we would let him pick five to read aloud before bed every night. I also vividly remember making him a Pokemon ABC scrapbook, with all the first 150 Pokemon in alphabetical order. Mother of the Year, I tell ya!

It is with these fond memories in mind that I share with you this craft: a lovely matched set of crochet Pokeball pendant and earrings by Linda Potts. She has very kindly provided a full pattern for both.

She also has patterns for more than 35 individual Pokemon plush amigurumi patterns, including Pikachu, Charmander, and Azumarill. Snorlax is particularly cute.
