Wow, I love Casstasstrophe’s jewelry. I wish she weren’t on vacation—I’d be tempted to buy it all now! She hits all the geek themes: Firefly, Game of Thrones, Buffy, Star Trek, even Mystery Science Theater 3000.
I am always amazed at the patience required with peyote stitch beading. I could never do that. I would throw everything across the room, swearing. This ring by Flickr-er sallaevilincarnate is awesome. Because some days, you just need a 1up.
I’m not going to say that the creations of Your Organ Grinder aren’t a little on the weird side, because they are. I mean, they’re felt organs. But they’re also kind of rad. Particular favorites here include the brain necklace, brain hairclip, and nose embroidery hoop.
The folks over at NicNacNoodle have cooked you up a scrummy Princess Leia headband tutorial.
The best bit is ,you don’t have to knit or crochet or anything like that! Infact this’d be a great rainy day project to keep the kids busy (and keep them geeky!)
