I am both amazed, and a little creeped out, by how realistic these peanuts look their real counterparts.
Artist Steve Casino can sum up his favorite celebrities and characters in just a single peanut each. The Kentucky-based sculptor says he can spend up to 20 hours a day making 4 inch celebrity statuettes out of peanuts, which are then painted with acrylic paint. He also uses bamboo skewers for arms and legs.
Austin-based artist Allison Hoffman makes crafty tributes to pop culture icons such as Pee-Wee Herman, Conan O’Brien, Carl Sagan, Willie Nelson, and Questlove, but it’s her new crocheted amigurumi dolls of “Doctor Who” Time Lords that seem to be getting a lot of attention.

Artist Hoang Tran of Sunnyvale, CA carves intricate sculptures of characters from popular fiction like Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, and others, from large size Crayola crayons, which are slightly larger than the standard size. No paints are used on the crayons. Extra colors are melted from other crayons, applied and then carved.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away… or possibly in LA. There was a tapestry to end all tapestries on display. The tapestry, tells the entire story of Star Wars in cross stitch with text, below is the artists description of the work.
A hand-stitched cotton thread on 30 foot of continuous length of 7 stitch per inch Klostern fabric. Stiffened with a thin batting and hemmed with a custom-made printed pixel star farbric on rear. This cross-stitch tapestry depicts the Star Wars saga (so far) from Episode 1 through Episode 6. Quotes from each movie are written in Aurebesh on the surrounding border.
