Space invaders cuff links

space invaders cufflinks

Do you have an old-school geeky dad in your life?  With father’s day right around the corner, Virginie Millefior might have something up his alley. These little aliens are “sawn-off from a sheet of brass, molded and cast into brass to create two identical space invaders cufflinks.”

If you are an aficionado of old video games, but have no need to link cuffs, fear not! Ms. Millefior also has necklaces, rings, and other trinkets that pay homage to our favorite games of the late 70s/early 80s.

HOWTO: DIY Star Wars Light Saber Lamp

diy star wars lightsaber desk lamp

I saw these Star Wars light saber lamps online recently and really wanted one for my sci-fi-themed office. Unfortunately, I couldn’t justify spending $65 on it – and even if I could, they’re not actually out yet. Every place I have looked has them sold out or not available yet. But… could I make one? To Boldly Create…

To Boldly CreateAn amazing piece of artwork in stained glass.  That is AidanT‘s mission and it seems he’s accomplishing it with wonderful results.  The piece shown is easily recognizable to even the most casual Star Trek fan.  Starfleet’s insignia is worn on the uniforms of every member from the lowest cadet to the highest admiral, for while evolving over the years and various reboots of Star Trek, it has maintained a very recognizable form.  Aidan has created a beautiful depiction of it in stained glass.

Aidan also has crafted a 3D version of the insignia as well.
