Knitted DNA Model

Kimberly Chapman of kimberlychapman.com made this great knitted DNA model she calls “Baby’s first DNA Model”. There’s no better way to make sure your child (or someone else’s) is introduced to geekdom early. You never know, your baby might like this DNA model so much, that they go on to become award winning scientists (or geeks)!

Knit Marvin from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!

Marvin the Android

Katy Marcus at Cut Out + Keep posted this great Marvin the Paranoid Android knitting project. He’s depressed, paranoid and completely adorable, perfect handmade gift for the Hitchhiker’s Guide fan in your life, or to knit for yourself and snuggle. You know, to cheer him up.

Rubik’s Cube Mosaic Puzzle

Rubiks Cube Mosaic Puzzle

Patti Schiendelman at Make: Magazine posted this awesome Rubik’s Cube project sent in by a user named “Mad Maxine” (I like her already). If you’re going to take this challenge on, you had better be an expert level Rubik’s solver (or at least be ready to become one). This would make an awesome project to hot-glue all together and hang on your wall.

Boba Fett Pez Dispenser

Boba Fett Pez Dispenser

Cory Doctorow posted this ridiculously awesome Boba Fett Pez dispenser on boingboing. Flickr user Switthoft made it “using the lost wax casting process with an organic burnout. The material is silicon bronze. The original sleeve for the Pez broke, so I cannibalized parts from another dispenser: Simba from the Lion King.”
