Angry Birds Stitch Markers
Craftster user Leslieshappyheart made these cute yet angry Angry Birds stitch markers out of polymer clay for a knitting swap partner. I have to admit that I haven’t played Angry Birds yet, but the crafts I’m seeing from it are awesome. Anyone else have any?
(Leslie also makes and sells adorable purses in her Etsy shop–check them out!)
Amigurumi Angry Birds
In December GeekCrafts brought your attention to Angry Birds Plushie by Obsessively Stitching and today we bring you Amigurumi Angry Birds Pig Pattern by The Itsy Bitsy Spider amigurumi-Crochet. But it doesn’t stop there! She has also made the Angry Birds goldfinch to go along with the pig, and she has an amigurumi pattern for the cardinal available in ravelry. I’m personally tempted to make a bunch, fill them with beans, and set up elaborate constructions with the pigs to knock down with the birds. Sounds like a great party game to me!
Angry Birds Plushie
Hello, I am Renee, and I am an Angry Birds addict. Whew, feels good to get that off of my chest! When Caroline sent this adorable, angry little guy to me, I knew I had to share this Angry Birds Plushie and point you to her blog for a tutorial on how to make one yourself (and she just put up a tutorial for Angry Birds (and Pigs!) Christmas Ornaments made from Dollar Store supplies).
Please Don’t Launch Birds at This Pig
Because, as you can see, it’s an Angry Birds helmet, not actually one of those treacherous green piggies who keep stealing all your precious eggs. And you don’t want to hurt its lovely creator, Jenn Hall. Yes, I realize I seem to be running with a helmet theme (I previously posted Jenn’s awesome R2-D2 helmet), but can I help it when they’re this snazzy? Apparently not. And, you know, safety. It’s important. Why not be safe and geekishly chic at the same time?
Level up with a GamerGhan!
I’ve featured some geektastic afghans here on GeekCrafts, such as Lattes & Llamas Geek-a-Longs (2014 and 2015), as well as a Settlers of Catan blanket. On Ravelry recently I stumbled across this beauty by Alicia1018, which she aptly calls her GamerGhan.
Twenty-five crochet squares pay homage to a variety of video games, including Tetris, Minecraft, Angry Birds, Harvest Moon, Pac-Man, World of Warcraft, and Oblivion. Alicia very kindly uploaded patterns for all of the squares – you can find them linked in her Ravelry project post.
What video games would you include in blanket form? Let us know in the comments below!
