Loved this Easy Crafts Wikia interview Christina Loff did with Star Wars author + blogger extraordinaire Bonnie Burton this month! It’s full of gems like this one:
EC: Which Star Wars character do you think would be the craftiest?
BB: I’d like to think that Yoda knits when he’s alone… I’d love to see the kind of craft projects Yoda would come up with. He probably has a model of the Jedi Academy made completely out of toothpicks.
That I’d like to see!
Windell From Evil Mad Scientist posted a great tutorial for inserting LED’s into a tie ‘a la’ Kraftwerk.
I know, I KNOW, we’ve all seen light up clothes, but the simplicity of this project is just beautiful… in a manly kind of way :-)
go make one!
Geekcrafts reader Stephanie used the Submit a Geekcraft link to show us this super-cute spaceman and rocket:
“I made this felt spaceman and rocket pillow for my friend’s 3 year old son. The spaceman is handsewn acrylic felt. “
I’m so jealous of that 3 year old! … but then that’s nothing new… I’m jealous of anyone whose biggest ethical dilemmas of the day is whether it’s right or wrong to use the cat as a pencil sharpener…
Fresh on the heels of the announcement that J.J. Abrams has officially signed on to direct ‘Star Trek 2’, I bring you another gift – Star Trek ornaments, a la Katie at Punk Projects.
Delightful in their simplicity, these Star Trek ornaments go together easy-peasy-quick. Which means you can put a significant dent in that stash of bottlecaps and Scrabble letter tiles that *some* scrapbookers might have laying about (not pointing any fingers, and certainly not at myself!)
Might I add how much I love that Katie has a whole Christmas tree dedicated to Star Trek, AND a peg people Nativity scene??
In celebration of the release of Minecraft Beta v1.8 yesterday, here is a wonderful Creeper necklace by milkool on Etsy. If you type “creeper” into the search box on Etsy, you will find tons of stuff. So much stuff in fact, that it’s hard to sift through it all to find the real gems.
This isn’t the first time milkool has been featured on Geekcrafts. A pair of her creeper necklaces were featured in a post back in july. Her shop is full of awesome adornments for the geek in your life, and her crafts are always awesome.
