Handknit Heroes
My favorite local yarn store, Twisted, posted about Stephanie Bryant’s Handknit Heroes recently and it sounds awesome!
From the Handknit Heroes site:
Imagine you’re a teenager, and you have some… special powers. Maybe even super powers. And one day, at a sleepover, your best friend in the whole world tells you—you’re not alone. So begins the adventure for a couple of teenagers, a single mom and yarn shop owner, and a whole bunch of hand knitted fun. Handknit Heroes is the first graphic novel for knitters. Each issue features a great storyline with knitting superheroes, terrific artwork, and a beautiful (and easy) knitting pattern.
Along with copies of the comic books, Twisted also carries the pattern to knit up these superhero goggles from the series.
You can order current and back issues here at the Handknit Heroes site, and check out action photos from Sock Summit over here!
Pacman Ghost Fused Glass Pendant
Today while procrastinating on several things, I received an e-mail from Lindsey, directing me to her etsy shop. While I was in there poking around, I found this Pacman Ghost Fused Glass Pendant. He’s little, he’s cute, and you can wear him! Lindsey also makes a “Scared” Ghost pendant, and I have this funny little fantasy about wearing both of them on a necklace with a Pacman in between.
Mario Cross Stitch Collage
Jessica e-mailed me with a link to her new blog, and while checking it out, I landed on this awesome Mario Cross Stitch Collage. There are some great geeky cross stitch projects on Kyoti’s Blog, and some more “traditional” ones, too. Check it out!
