Crochet Skull Scarf

Skull ScarfSpring may have sprung, but that doesn’t mean we’re in the clear yet. Especially where I live in Northern California, sunny days can quickly give way to blustery evenings.

However, if you have a scarf as bad-ass as this crochet skull scarf, you won’t mind the cooler weather.

Handmade by Kara York, this Peruvian wool scarf is sure to keep your old bones warm! For folks who like their macabre with a dash of color, Kara’s Etsy shop — Wicked Crochet — also has this scarf in festive colors or with floral accents.

If you’ve already packed away your winter wear, never fear. Kara also offers some lovely skull headbands that would look great with a nice (gothic) sundress.

Harry Potter Trunk of Spells

Harry Potter Trunk of SpellsOh, man, do I love these One Tiny Thing swaps on Craftster. Yes, yes, I’ve posted many times how much I love tiny things, but I’m going to say it again. I LOVE tiny things. And the One Tiny Harry Potter Thing swaps seem to yield the awesome-est tiny things of all. This trunk of spells by Craftster user technogoddess is just amazing. Look at all those itty bitty bottles and viles and spellbooks and even a teeny tiny bubbling cauldron! I’m in love!

Exploding TARDIS Shoes

Man I wish I could draw. Then I could try to make these for myself! cakewalkqueen made a pair of Exploding TARDIS sneakers using sharpies! She based them on a pair she saw on Etsy that feature Van Gogh’s drawing of the TARDIS exploding from the Doctor Who episode “The Pandorica Opens”. One shoe says “The pandorica will open” on the outside and the other says “Silence will fall”.

Michelangelo Amigurami

Craftster user WolfDreamer had planned to make this for a few years and posted it just in time for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 27th anniversary. This is based on the original series Michelangelo. I love his nunchucks!  There’s a free pattern on her blog, and it can be modified to make any of the turtles. Raphael was always my favorite, what about you?

A Stitch In Time…Lord

Allons-y! Craftster user pickled_peppers made this 1/3 scale model amigurumi of the tenth Doctor— complete with red converse and double hearts (his hair is perfect too)!  Ten is my Doctor, so I really love this.  There are more pictures in her post (including one “with” the Doctor). She’s working on a pattern, for those of use who want their very own huggable David Tennant.
