Even greater than the excitement over the imminent start of Series Six of Doctor Who this Saturday, is the collective sadness spreading across the Whoverse: Elisabeth Sladen, who brilliantly portrayed the much loved Doctor’s companion Sarah Jane Smith, passed away on the 19th of April, far too young at only 63 years.
The universe has to move forward. Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it’s a world, or a relationship…everything has its time. And everything ends.
— Sarah Jane Smith, “School Reunion”, Doctor Who
We all know that Pi is awesome but who knew that it could also be beautiful?
HolmesCraft has several of these pretty rings in all kinds of colours. They are all wire wrapped and have silver beads representing the numbers and a swirl for the decimal.
Pi can be functional and girly!
Crafster Jennieingram created this lovely bracelet after watching Doctor Who for the first time. Each charm is a reference to Doctor Who, the beads are Tardis blue and the black of space, there are two hearts, an extra hand, a Union Jack for Rose’s shirt, a wolf for Bad Wolf and many more. Jennieingram goes into details of everything she put into the bracelet on Crafster.
It’s funny to think of what a beautifully rendered game like Assassin’s Creed 2 would have looked like if it had been made back in the 8-bit days.
Well, Sarah Clayton has eliminated some of the guess work by creating this nifty 8-bit Ezio pin out of Perler beads, which is available through her Etsy shop, Geeky Gamer.
I can just imagine this little pixelated assassin navigating his way across levels of blocky platforms and shanking little square Templars in the back, all in time to a tinny electonic soundtrack.
This “I heart brains” best friends necklace set is the perfect thing for horror-loving BFFs.
Hand-made out of polymer clay by Sarah, these and other creepy-cool organ-influenced accessories are available at her Etsy store Beat Black.
Give one to the friend you trust not to eat your brains when the zombie apocalypse hits!
