Loki Amigurumi

Loki'd

While I don’t think Loki would appreciate being described as “cute”, “adorable”, “darling” and “huggable”; he really is when you crochet him in this cute, adorable, darling and totally huggable pocket version.  From his removable hat, to his long flowing black hair, and his familiar black and green robes, Loki can go anywhere with you to cause mayhem and disaster keep you company when you need him.

SherLOCKed

Now you can not only be hooked on Sherlock but you can hook him as well! Justine Meunier, or Retsnimel as she is known on Ravelry, has created a free pattern for an amigurumi BBC Sherlock Holmes.  From his curly hair to his coat, you can see the character as his mind works through the details of his latest case.  Quite accurate, right down to his blue scarf and purple shirt.

Of course, Sherlock must have his companion and Justine has provided a free pattern for Doctor John Watson as well.

Do or Do Not, There is No Try.

I did try, and I failed. When I see things like this, I just feel so craftily (that’s a word now) inept. Though I have attempted to try and crochet (with minimal success), my skills are far below things like this. I envy those that are talented like this.

LucyRavenScar on Etsy, has her patterns for all 12 of her Star Wars Mini Amigurumi up for sale. For those who the universe has blessed with this sort of jedi power, these are for you.

They’re adorable.
They’re squishy.
And there is one of nearly every character.

What’s not to like?

If you’re looking for just one of the patterns check out her shop and narrow down the search.

One Does not Simply Crochet Mordor….

One Does not Simply Crochet Mordor… But one can crochet Smaug, the Golden, the Dragon of Erebor, or as Bilbo refers to him, Smaug the Tremendous.  I have to say “tremendous” is appropriate for this crocheted version by ChrysN found on Instructables for it is truly a tremendous crocheted version of the famous character from The Hobbit.

Crocheted using yarn of the 3 and 4 weight categories, you could adjust the size using different weight yarn and needles.  Crocheted Smaug is indeed a faithful rendition of the depiction found in Tolkein’s watercolor entitled Conversations with Smaug.

Area and state regulations do not allow the Companion Cube to remain here, alone and companionless.

Area and state regulations do not allow the Companion Cube to remain here, alone and companionless. And the cube is not companionless once you crochet this mini weighted cube and Chell!  Chell even has her own Portal Device too.  Designed by Nerdigurumi, the pattern is free.  It uses various colors of worsted weight yarns and some wire for Chell to allow her to be posable.  Nerdigurumi warns that this pattern is a bit more than beginner as it requires some ‘cobbling and fiddling’ to assemble.

They Must Exterminate…

They Must Exterminate... … or at least keep the boiled eggs warm! These hand crafted Dalek Egg Cozies are just right for the job. Created by Lyles Knit, free patterns are available for either a knitted circular. Don’t feel left out, crocheters because there is a crocheted pattern available that was designed by Alienfish. For those who prefer knitting flat, Lyles Knit also provides a pattern for that version as well by Anne.

They Must Exterminate crochet Whichever version you choose to make, I doubt anyone will mess with your eggs when a Dalek is watching over it!

Not much of an egg eater?  Just crochet or knit a small circular piece for the bottom, stuff and you have an amigurumi version of a dalek!
