Dalek Kitchen Towel

This awesome hand sewn Dalek Kitchen Towel is the perfect way to EXTERMINATE wetness on your hands in the kitchen (oh, what? They can’t all be good!). Chelsey made this Doctor Who inspired kitchen towel as a gift for her brother-in-law, and I loved it as soon as I saw it sitting there in my inbox. A geek after my own heart, she writes in her blog about her journey towards accepting herself as a fan of sci-fi (I’ve been there & done that, Chelsey!) and promises more sci-fi inspired crafts to come.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Light Box

Nothing is more comforting than a Leather Face night light, take it from me! This awesome Texas Chainsaw Massacre Light Box is handcrafted in poplar by Dave at MorbidDecor’s etsy shop. I just love this thing! But then again, I have a thing for the “villians”, I wake up every morning to a Dalek alarm clock, so why wouldn’t I want a light up of Leather Face staring at me when I get up to pee at night?

Doctor Who Crochet Set

HaikugirlOz posted this completely amazing Doctor Who Crochet Set to her flickr stream and it defies words! This has got to be the best example of The Doctor’s hair I have ever seen crocheted, and one thing I really love about the Tenth Doctor is his awesome hair! The set includes not only The Doctor, but a TARDIS, a Dalek and cute, cuddly little Adipose, perfect to snuggle up to while watching the Tenth Doctor’s final episodes!

Doctor Who Experience at Coventry Travel Museum

What trip to England would be complete without a large amount of Doctor Who trivia, sight seeing and, of course, the new Doctor Who Experience at the Travel Museum in Coventry. As soon as my sister-in-law mentioned it, months before our trip, it became a cemented part of our plans. I mean, yes, it is nice to sit in a pub that was once frequented by C.S. Lewis and Lewis Carrol, great to take in the medieval architecture, and wonderful to get real, authentic fish’n’chips. But I’m a geek, and geeks like what geeks like, and this geek likes (loves, actually) Doctor Who.

Scrabble Wedding Cake

scrabble-wedding-cake
Weddings are supposed to be all about the bride and groom, right? Well, if the bride and groom are total word-nerds then this awesome Scrabble Wedding Cake from Pink Cake Box is the most awesome cake around. Mrs. Hummingbird posted this, with a load of other Scrabulous wedding ideas at Weddingbee, and I’ll be honest, I am a bit inspired.

I love the freedom that comes with the modern wedding, a friend of mine had a little Dalek bride and groom hanging out on one of the tiers of his wedding cake, and other geek-themed weddings are popping up all over in pictures on the web.

The great thing is, even if wedding bells aren’t ringing in your near future, you can use the ideas at Weddingbee‘s Scrabble page to throw the best Scrabble themed party anyone has ever seen!
