Fan Art 365 Giveaway!

Fanart365

Love fan art? Then this is the giveaway for you.  Artist Kayly describes herself as a “mum, tea drinker, geek, outdoor enthusiast, board gamer, and lover of handmade things,” and she’s embarked on a new journey, one we’re invited to go along on.  She’s set a goal of creating 365 fan art drawings in the next year, and she’s giving away three drawings a month! Each winner gets to pick from a variety of her work, too.  Based on her first round of drawings, it’s clear she has a wide array of interests: from Disney, to Marvel, to Star Wars, to Sandman.  There’s bound to be something of interest for everyone.  Don’t miss your chance to cheer Kayly on in reaching her goal, but also to win one of her pieces too.  You can enter her giveaway here.

Don’t forget, you can enter each month from May 2015 – April 2016!

Exploding TARDIS Shoes

Man I wish I could draw. Then I could try to make these for myself! cakewalkqueen made a pair of Exploding TARDIS sneakers using sharpies! She based them on a pair she saw on Etsy that feature Van Gogh’s drawing of the TARDIS exploding from the Doctor Who episode “The Pandorica Opens”. One shoe says “The pandorica will open” on the outside and the other says “Silence will fall”.

Twilight Prom Scene Pen and Ink Drawing

Twilight Prom Scene Pen and Ink Drawing

We’ve only got a few more weeks until Twilight comes out on DVD (and my mom just pre-ordered it for me – w00t!), so I was super excited to see this submission from Geekcrafter Fee Harding. She made this pen and ink drawing of her favorite scene from the movie: Prom. If you’ve seen the movie three times (or more!), like I have, you’ll notice that not only did she get the faces down great, but even tiny details like the flowers on Bella’s sweater. You can buy a print of this drawing (and some other geek-themed drawings) in Fee’s Etsy shop, burntfeather.
