DIY Live Long & Prosper Star Trek hoodie

DIY Live Long & Prosper Hoodie

In honor of the recent release of Star Trek: Into Darkness, I thought it fitting to share a Star Trek craft: a do-it-yourself Live Long & Prosper (LLAP) hoodie. My husband got a commercial version of this as a gift, so I thought it was clever that someone came up with their own DIY version.

Since it’s posted on Instructables.com, it includes a full tutorial of how to make it yourself. It involves making a stencil from a thin piece of wood, which I thought was interesting. I wonder if you couldn’t just use butcher/freezer paper?

So have you seen the new Trek movie? We went to the midnight viewing and loved it. Great story, action, and special effects. We’ll definitely be adding it to our Blu-Ray collection. What did you think?

Freezer Paper TARDIS Hoodie

Hello Geeks!

Today I would like to show you this amazing TARDIS hoodie from Samantha_McKay on Crafster.

She ordered her brother a sonic screwdriver set for Christmas and decided that he needed something to go with it; she looked up some designs on the internet but none were quite right.

So she sketched her own design and made a stencil out of Freezer Paper and applied it to a plain hoodie (Blue of course).

Pokemon Polar Fleece Hoodie

Pokemon Polar Fleece HoodieI have Pokemon on the brain lately.  I recently picked my Nintendo DS up and dusted it off, then apologized for neglecting it in favor of the evil iPad.  My Pokemon: White Version cartridge was still in there and I have been playing obsessively since rediscovering it.  I am fairly close to “catching ’em all”.

With Pokemon on the brain, it was inevitable that I would turn to Etsy to see what awesome Poke-crafts people have come up with.  When I happened upon this Pikachu Fleece Hoodie by Etsian ErosDIY I let out a little squeak of joy.  (It was a very manly squeak, I assure you.)  She makes her own patterns for custom Hoodies, and tailors them to the buyer.  While the listing is for a Pikachu Hoodie, she can base them on just about any Pokemon your heart desires.

Check out the Pikachu Hoodie!
