Last week Kansas City was one of the select cities to host The Ultimate Marvel Marathon in AMC theaters. We took a “family day” to enjoy and revel in the geekiness. It was advertised as “one epic day” – it did not disappoint.
I love Iron Man, and I am looking at buying a new vehicle in a few months, so naturally, finding the perfect window decal has been at the forefront of my mind (oh, and MPG and safety ratings, those too…).
Richard at Customs655 sells this mean looking Iron Man Decal, as well as a “Sworn Zombie Hunter” decal, and he now etches glass! The shop is a little playground for anything you might want to slap on the back of your car, or see on a piece of glass!
I love Iron Man, and I love not having cup rings on my coffee table, so when Holly from Customcomix sent these to us, I couldn’t resist. She and her boyfriend got into decoupaging one of kind, super cool comic book items (jewelry, coffee tables, coasters, you name it!) when they got their first place and decided the only sure way to make it fit them, would be to make the decor from scratch (and old comic books) the end result is an awesome Etsy shop that I can’t wait to blow some money in!
If there are two things I love, they are Apple products and Iron Man. John from Macbook Pro Decal sent me this awesome combination of the two and I can’t wait to get my new Macbook and stick this baby on! The site also has decals featuring Captain America, Batman, circuit boards, and all variations of awesome!
Who didn’t love the Iron Man movie? Here are ten of the most awesome Iron Man craft projects that you can do for $20 grand or less…most of them a LOT less!
The Popular Mechanics website featured this “home made” Iron Man suitcrafted by Norweigan costume enthusiast, John Kristiansen and a group of his friends that call themselves TMP. They attempted to create this costume before the May release of the Iron Man film, with nothing but promo pictures of the suit and twenty-thousand dollars.
Yes, you read that correctly! Kristiansen and his pals spent TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS on this realistic costume. It came out so close to perfect that Paramount hired Kristiansen to make appearances around Europe to promote the DVD release, and he plans to use it for charity fundraisers and to talk to children about saftey, saying:
you may not listen to your parents, but if Iron Man tells you to wear a bike helmet, you’re going to do it.
So next time you have an extra twenty thousand sitting around, consider building a costume for a major-blockbuster film!
