Friday the 13th Necklace

Friday the 13th necklaceI must hang my head in shame. I — a self-proclaimed horror film geek — have never seen any of the Friday the 13th films. Unless you count Freddy vs. Jason, which I kinda don’t.

Doesn’t mean I’m not immune to the bone-chilling effect Mr. Voorhees has. Just looking at his hockey mask scares me…even in itty-bitty pendant form.

Zanti Jewelry offers this hand-cast metal Friday the 13th pendant, among other unique horror movie themed jewelry, in their Etsy shop.

You may not be able to wear it in time for today’s Friday the 13th, but — like the films — there’ll always be another one. Bwa ha ha!

Through the Looking Glass Necklace

Through the Looking Glass NecklaceLewis Carroll’s Alice has always been one of my favorite literary heroines. She’s bold, bright, and bewildering all at once.

This necklace portrays Alice and the titular looking glass in beautiful brushed steel.

Both elegant and whimsical, it’s a “grown-up” way to show your continued love of the girl who made her way through Wonderland and beyond.

Made by the talented mother-and-daughter team of Penny and Nikki, this (and other Alice-themed creations) is available in their Etsy shop, Untamed Menagerie.

Dragon Age 2 Cutout Pendant

Dragon Age 2 PendantI admit it. I’m on my second play-through of Dragon Age 2, and I still have no friggin’ idea exactly what this ubiquitous symbol means.

It still makes a cool necklace, though! This eye-catching, silver cutout pendant was made by jewelry-maker Joshua Taylor. It’s a unique and subtle way to show your love of the game.

His Etsy store, Jewelry by Josh, also offers a couple other lovely game-related cutout necklaces, as well as some shiny table-top dice earrings.

(BTW, if anyone could definitively tell me what the symbol stands for, I’d be much obliged!)

EDIT: Josh just let me know that he is offering Geek Crafts readers an exclusive 10% discount on everything in his Etsy shop! Just use coupon code GCB10. Also, if you have an eye on his Portal necklace, drop by his Facebook page to enter his giveaway. Thanks, Josh!
