Etsy seller ArtBug offers this one-of-a-kind Eye of Sauron journal, perfect for scribbling down all your evil plans. What I love about this most of all is that the eye friggin’ LIGHTS UP.
Hobbit Feet Baby Booties
I’ve seen various incarnations of these crazy hobbit-feet slippers, but none so cute as these wee baby booties. Knit some up for your own little hobbit with this free pattern offered by Penwiper. Grown-ups can also get in on the hairy foot action with this Hobbit foot pattern from The Unique Sheep.
Door of Durin Beaded Necklace
It took Etsy seller Whitestar Jewelry 15 hours to hand-bead this striking Door of Durin necklace. What impresses me more is the story behind the store, as the maker uses beadwork as a way to soothe her bipolar disorder.
Frodo Plush
Craftster member MumbleFord wasn’t content to simply buy a plush Frodo from a store. She had to make her own! I think he turned out even cuter than the original. She was also generous enough to share her pattern, so you can make your own hobbit.
Map of Middle Earth Cigar Box
The latest LOTR swap on Craftster yielded some amazing projects, from replica cloaks to an amigurumi Bilbo. What impressed me the most, though, was this map of Middle Earth burned into a cigar box, made by Craftster Gommeriffic. Perfect thing for hiding your Old Toby in, eh?

Miniature J.R.R. Tolkien Art Doll
The man himself, adorably immortalized in clothespin-doll form. Debbie Ritter (Etsy’s Uneek Doll Designs) also has a little C.S. Lewis doll. Makes me wish she had a dollhouse version of the Eagle and Child pub they used to meet in!
I’ve been eyeing Jo Roberts’s (AKA Etianya) amazingly detailed fleece plushies, hats, and scarves on DeviantART for a while now. Not just for their warm snuggliness, but because they are beautifully hand-crafted pieces of geek art.
She’s captured characters from video games such as Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros., and World of Warcraft. The ones that stole this Bioware geek’s heart, though, were her Dragon Age: Origins plushies.
Not only has she made some adorable stand-alone dolls of party faves Alistair, Morrigan, and Zevran, she’s also indulged the romantic side of her clients by custom-making dolls of their Gray Warden with their tru wuv. Even sweeter, she’s designed them with magnets so they can kiss.

Terri, b/k/a etsy seller TerriFluffShop, is selling these awesome felt dolls of Mortal Kombat 3 characters Sindel and Cyrax . Although these characters are a little more obscure than your Johnny Cages and Liu Kangs, they are really well done. Just check out all the details on Cyrax’s armor! He even comes with his signature green web! (Or is it a net? I say it’s a web…)
If MK plushies are something you think you need, but maybe not in the form of Sindel or Cyrax, Terri says she can do other characters upon request! I would love a lil fuzzy Rayden or Scorpion in my craft room…

oh man! THAT is a geek craft right there!Donna Evans shared this supremely geeky creation on the Sprite Stitch boards, a 100% plushie mega drive console (oh and a genesis controller for all you Americans out there!) with removable Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cartridge.
My favourite bits? the cord… the way it’s all cordy, the ingenious use of velcro to secure the game cartridge, and strangely the use of iron on transfers… I don’t usually like iron on transfers, they feel like a cop out, but for this they completely work! they give a complete finished look to the piece.
I just want to squish it SO BAD!!
Also Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was my favourite game on the Mega Drive… because my older brother could play as Sonic on 1 player mode and I could just pick up the second controller and play as Tails, but in 1 player mode Tails couldn’t die. I loved this. And for a child with an urge to play computer games, but an intense fear of ‘dying’ in them it was the best of both worlds.
