Character Aprons

Thanks to a friend, I found Bethany Sew-&-Sew‘s blog and her amazing apron creations. collection with a range characters from superheroes to video games icons and Harry Potter. Who doesn’t want to look like one of their favorite characters while cooking a meal? Personally, I’m not big on cooking, but one of these aprons just might inspire me to practice more. Well, probably not, but I would look awfully cute turning on the microwave.

Yoda Days of the Week Tea Towel: Thursday

Back in the day, housewives tended to do chores in a certain order to make sure everything got done, and it was such a common scheme that day-of-the-week dishtowels emblazoned with that day’s chore were everywhere. Days of the Week tea towels usually feature images of animals or cute childrendepicting the days chores: Laundry, Baking, Cleaning, etc. sewclever asked a friend, Dagwood, to create days of the week images featuring Yoda, and Thursday’s chore is foraging.

I hope she finishes the set, because I can’t wait to see the Yoda version of the other chores!

Rotary iPhone

While looking for camera cases, I stumbled upon hine’s shop on Etsy. Not only are the camera camera cases awesomely adorable, but the rotary iPhone cases really caught my eye. Remember old rotary phones?! I do. They were a pain to dial, made a whole bunch of noise, and just the handset was 10x bigger than my phone now… but this hand stitched iPhone case sure makes me slightly nostalgic for those old clunkers! Now I anxiously await more of her Etsy postings so I can have one of my very own :)

Space Invaders Clutch

Recently I’ve been doing lots of traveling, and tiny bags or clutches are instrumental in organization and packing. This Space Invaders clutch bag is perfect!! I especially love the pink zipper and handle… ooh and the pleats! The only thing I’m left to wonder is, where did you find that great fabric stellarcheri?!

The purple heart clutch in her newest post is also fabulous, and I’ve fallen madly in love with it as well. Safe to say I’ll be following her updates from now on! stellarcheri is on Craftster, Etsy AND Facebook :)

Kirby’s Epic Yarn Portrait

I was recently asked to make a Kirby plushie by a friend, but not just any stuffed Kirby would do. She specifically asked for one based off of the video game Kirby’s Epic Yarn. In my search for pictures of Kirby plushies I came across this adorable Kirby craft made by Shift! on Instructables.com. Though it’s not a plushie it’s absolutely adorable and easy to make.

Fleece Dragon Age Plushies

I’ve been eyeing Jo Roberts’s (AKA Etianya) amazingly detailed fleece plushies, hats, and scarves on DeviantART for a while now. Not just for their warm snuggliness, but because they are beautifully hand-crafted pieces of geek art.

She’s captured characters from video games such as Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros., and World of Warcraft. The ones that stole this Bioware geek’s heart, though, were her Dragon Age: Origins plushies.

Not only has she made some adorable stand-alone dolls of party faves Alistair, Morrigan, and Zevran, she’s also indulged the romantic side of her clients by custom-making dolls of their Gray Warden with their tru wuv. Even sweeter, she’s designed them with magnets so they can kiss.

Say it with me: “D’aaaaw!”
