Tiny knit awesome-ness from Craftster user EJayneH! She made this Stephen Colbert finger puppet for a friend who then took it with her when she saw The Colbert Report in person.
Here’s another fun crocheted character from Futurama – this time a brain slug from Craftster user jadedsurrealism.
Okay, this isn’t actually geeky, but it cracks me up so I’m posting it anyway. Craftster user chickenfeet (I’m sensing a theme here) made a Kentucky Fried Chicken Colonel Sanders costume for her baby last year. For the wig, she knitted a cap and then tied yarn all over in loops.
Craftster user AprilDraven was kind enough to post the pattern she created for Bella’s crocheted hat in the La Push scene from Twilight. I want this hat *and* the mittens! Who else is counting down to New Moon?
Etsy seller lucyravenscar crocheted this wonderful creature Yubbla,
a creature that lives in mossy areas around tree roots and rocks. Yubbla hop around, eating bugs and fungi; peaceful unless attacked, when their horns prove most effective at deterring predators. However, if approached carefully and presented with edible gifts, they will become very friendly. It is wise to encourage them in the garden, for not only are they pleasant company but they will make themselves useful by eating pests such as slugs.
