Geeky Free Printable Valentines

It’s never too early to get started on those Valentines, and I’ve found some great ones for Star Wars and Doctor Who fans.

The first series of valentines are designs from Alecia at AleciaDawn Photography. She’s got seven separate designs, all of them epic, and all of them perfect for kids and adults (and anyone in between). All you have to do is download and print them out on some card stock.

The second series I found while exploring the wilds of the intarwebz are valentines from Heidi Schulz and her blog Frantically Simple. These exploit my ultimate weakness, Doctor Who. These are definitely worth traveling through space and time, but you’ll only have to download them and print them out on some card stock to enjoy.

The last series of valentines I found are from Hanasaurusrex! Nothing says “I love you” like zombies, so look no further for Valentine’s Day cards than here!

Free Printable advice for the New Year

Everyone’s getting ready for 2015 and polishing up those usual new year’s resolutions. I thought I’d share a free printable from A Geek in Glasses to help get your new year off to a great start!

Get Your Last-Minute Geek On with Christmas Printables

The countdown to Christmas is down to single digits now – are you ready? I still have some wrapping to do, so of course I turned to the Internets for some ideas. And they did not disappoint. Here are several options for adding some geek flair to your gift wrapping.

First up is a series of Doctor Who-inspired printable holiday cards (like the one pictured above) by Natalie Shaw at Doodlecraft. (You may remember her Doctor Who Holiday Countdown I recently linked to.) Well, she has even more Doctor Who craft ideas up her sleeve! She created A2 card size (1/4 of a sheet) images featuring Daleks, Judoon, Weeping Angels, the Silence, and Cybermen. Hey, even villains celebrate holidays!

Next up, Ellie Petrov designed some Minecraft gift tags and graciously shared them. She offers a PDF of Minecraft Santa tags, and one of Minecraft snowmen.

Liz over at Being Geek Chic also has some Doctor Who-inspired printable wrapping options – both gift tags and wrapping paper.

Printables for a Doctor Who Party

Planning a Who-a-Thon for New Year’s Eve? I’ve got just what you need to invite friends and decorate! Kristi Duggins, aka Bohemian Bear on Etsy, has a whole slew of Doctor Who-related printables to help you get ready in a flash – no sonic screwdriver required!

Use her Printable Invitation to entice friends to attend, her DIY Bunting set to adorn your TARDIS (you have one in the corner, right?), and her Starry Night Circles to top a set of blue cupcakes.

Then when the evening is done, you can scrapbook your memories (any that the Silence didn’t steal, that is!) with her Starry Night Scrapbook set. For additional scrapbooking fodder, you can also check out the RetroDiva “Call the Doctor” digital scrapbook set I featured previously.

You Need An Origami Sorting Hat Game

Who doesn’t need an Origami Sorting Hat? Lucky for us all that Adelle Belnap from the blog Packed With Fun has created this adorable (and FREE!) printable Origami Sorting Hat game. Her post includes a link to download your own Sorting Hat along with plenty of pictures and instructions. Looks to me like this would be a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends (or the kids, or by yourself). Enjoy!

Sharknado 4 Watch Party Food Idea

It’s almost here: Sharknado 4! I’ve been slowly getting ready for this weekend, and I thought I’d share with you a little of what I’ve been up to, including this free printable I’ve designed for serving up some fun Sharknado themed snacks.

I’ll freely admit my design is more fun than functional. And, I was heavily inspired by this AWESOME, free printable Shark Bait Snack Cups at MyPrintly.com.

I’m also going to try this popcorn recipe for the watch party I’m going to. I thought Nerd Love Maggie’s Shark Bait Ocean Party Popcorn Mix looked pretty tasty, though I think I might substitute red candy melts instead of white. What’s Sharknado party food without a little gore, right?
