Look, I’ll be honest with you. I’m not at all into amigurumi. More power to you if you are, but they are not my thing. But I stumbled across this little Amigurumi Buffy and was enchanted. I mean, seriously, look at how cute she is! I just love the little smirk and the little crocheted stake. Such an adorable little slayer.
When you’ve more or less been in school in some capacity since 1980, as I have been, your final month of coursework — ever– is a really big deal. That is what April 2012 is for me, my final month of classes! Much of that graduate work has been done while working full time and trying to keep a few hobbies around for sanity. Once these classes are over, I’ve got so many pent-up hobby desires to unleash. On the top of that list: amigurumi! And I can’t think of a nicer bunch of characters I want to give yarn-birth to than the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. By the way, clearly the best Star Trek franchise. No two ways about it. Picard>>>>Kirk any day of the week.
So cute, yes? I can’t decide which of these are my favorite but I will admit that I’m glad Wesley Crusher isn’t one of them. I know, I know, Wil Wheaton is an amazing man but the boy genius thing is so played out and it was played out in 1989.
OK, you know what? It’s Data. Data’s lil yellow eyes are getting to me. He’s my favorite.

Now, thanks to these cute Cthulhu earrings, you don’t have to be a dead elder god to show your love of Cthulhu. Etsian DelightfulMagic makes all kinds of cute jewelry out of polymer clay, but these earrings drew me in right away. Rarely have I seen Cthulhu looking so cute.
Roler posted this cute hoop to Craftster recently. She made it for her partner in the Woodland Creature & Enchanted Forest Swap. Her partner wanted an original creature that took on parts of its surroundings as part of its body.
A maple seed was created in the bunny’s ear, a leaf went onto it’s chest and a lotus flower became it’s tail.
KaminaKapow recently posted her assortment of crocheted Wonder Woman dolls on Imgur. She describes herself as an elemental artist and a cutesy crafter. It doesn’t appear that she sells her pattern. She also doesn’t go into any kind of detail about her crocheted amigurumis, but she sure is talented.
