Lady Skellington for Halloween

lady skellington

Just in time for Halloween, Darkspectre Custom Couture of Newberry, FL, posted this image of a gender bent Jack Skellington dress on Imgur.

It is a one of a kind commission piece, and the store do not have any more in stock, as all of their items are hand crafted and made to order. Their garments are not costumes, but rather, they are actual clothing quality pieces and meant for wear. This dress was in the works for four months.

Now For A Different Kind of Halloween Costume

CVS receipt

I love this costume for its simplicity, it’s relevance and it’s creativity. A year ago, Hangintough (also on Reddit and Twitter, where he’s known as Lord_Nugget) posted his Halloween costume on imgur: a life size CVS Pharmacy receipt.

All he said about it was that he got a three foot long receipt for buying Tic Tacs. The comical costume was printed on about 20 pieces of 11″ x 17″ paper that were taped together on poster board. He then put wire on the back to hold it up and covered the entire costume in packing tape so it wouldn’t rip. The brilliant costume cost about $15.

Halloween is coming and to get you ready I found some fun pumpkin carving templates and ideas! StarWars.com has got some free templates featuring some of your favorite characters, like Yoda and R2-D2. There’s a Chewbacca one that I think looks a bit impossible, but my pumpkins tend to look like a second grader carved them, so . . .

There are so many fun pumpkin carving (and decorating) ideas out there. Do you have some favorites?
