To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, we have a USS Enterprise replica dedication plaque.
On star Trek: Enterprise, the Enterprise’s dedication plaque was located next to the bridge turbolift on the aft bulkhead.
Created by QuestDesignCanada, this resin casting measures 10-3/4″ x 7″ x 1/2″ and has brass powder embedded in it for an authentic metal appearance has a hanger on the back for easy mounting to a wall or door. It’s available for $59.99.
Live long and prosper.
Boba Fett is not my favorite Star Wars character, but I think I need this life-size figure of him.
Coming in at a full six-and-a-half feet, it’s packed with detail: Boba Fett is decked out from head to toe in an authentic replica of his Mandalorian armor, featuring an articulated helmet with adjustable rangefinder, intricately detailed fabric costume and utility belt, a light-up chest panel, and braided Wookiee scalp accessories. Armed with a blaster at the ready, and another holstered at his hip, the resourceful mercenary is equipped with his signature jetpack and keeps various tools of the trade stashed in his pockets.
Pre-order this bad boy now, and you only have to pay $850 a MONTH, or you can pay it in full for a meager $8,495. At 6’6″ tall and 110 pounds, that seems like quite the deal. Sideshow Collectibles expects to ship Boba out March-May 2017.
My only question: does his helmet come off? I need to know, for...reasons.
It’s almost here: Sharknado 4! I’ve been slowly getting ready for this weekend, and I thought I’d share with you a little of what I’ve been up to, including this free printable I’ve designed for serving up some fun Sharknado themed snacks.
I’ll freely admit my design is more fun than functional. And, I was heavily inspired by this AWESOME, free printable Shark Bait Snack Cups at MyPrintly.com.
I’m also going to try this popcorn recipe for the watch party I’m going to. I thought Nerd Love Maggie’s Shark Bait Ocean Party Popcorn Mix looked pretty tasty, though I think I might substitute red candy melts instead of white. What’s Sharknado party food without a little gore, right?
Have you got plans to “celebrate” the fourth installment in this epically ridiculous movie series? Share your Sharknado party ideas in the comments below!

LovelyMiss recently posted her Star Trek insignia beaded curtain at Craftster. It’s made of 12,267 pony beads strung on 36″ strands of 3mm macrame cord. Each strand is 141 beads, and there are 87 strands. She made the strands about 6″ longer than needed and then just tied them around the dowel. LovelyMiss put a little hot glue in the knots to hold them in place and then trimmed the ends. The cords are on a 36″ dowel and the curtain itself weighs about 10 lbs. She even painted the dowel as well.
LovelyMiss figured it too about 25-30 hours of beading, and then another 8 hours of prep work (measuring the beads and doing necessary math, making patterns, pre-cutting lengths of cord).
She even included her pattern in her post, in case anyone else wants to make one for themselves.
I recently stumbled across an article on using little zipper pouches to organize and keep your purse clutter free. Well, naturally you would want to geekify that. How about this fantastic 11th Doctor Coin Purse?
Erica Dietz of 5 Little Monsters shared a writeup on The Geeky Mormon on how she adapted a bow zipper purse to subtly reference the 11th Doctor Who (Matt Smith, for non-Whovians), who thought bow ties were cool. Add some suspenders to a bow zipper pouch and you’re good!
Please note: unlike the TARDIS, the coin purse is not bigger on the inside, unfortunately. You’d need to hit up Hermione for a bag like that.
