Doctor Who Bag
Check out this amazing bag at Quirkie Crafts. I love all the Doctor Who elements that have been put into into it to create a cool patchwork look.
Keep a look out for her etsy shop opening soon!

I’m really a diehard Next Generation Fan, but I put de-crinkled my nose for the original when I saw these cookies because THEY ARE SO CUTE, RIGHT?
I love that Darla was conscious about designing the cookies so that they had more of a cute look about them as opposed to something action-figure-ish and she pulled it off like a champ. Like I want to see a cartoon series based on her character design (what do you think, Darla?). With how minimalist the details must be to pull off a cookie, she does such a grea
t job with picking the exactly right details to include to convey the character.
Darla’s got a lot of great instructions and tips if you want to recreate these cookies back on her blog, Bakingdom. Be sure to check out her sketch sheet. So cute!

Last week Kansas City was one of the select cities to host The Ultimate Marvel Marathon in AMC theaters. We took a “family day” to enjoy and revel in the geekiness. It was advertised as “one epic day” – it did not disappoint.
Especially when your candy dish is this beautiful stained glass TARDIS candy dish. Created by Xandrigirly and posted on Craftster, the colors of TARDIS blue and crystal reflect the light with the same glow as the heart of the TARDIS itself. This 3D project in stained glass is quite a beautiful piece of work.
Having never seen so much as a single episode, I know nothing about Star Trek, so I cannot come up with a cute slash amusing pun to title this post with.
Before you revoke my geek badge, let me explain; I cannot watch tv series, or films, out of order. I have to start right at the beginning and do them all, in order of creation. With Star Trek (and, while I’m confessing, the same goes for Dr Who; I’ve never seen an episode of that either) I just never had the heart to sit down at the start of 6 series and 12 (12!!) films. Maybe when I’m retired, then I’ll have time.
But never mind all that, one thing I do know; this Star Trek Comm Badge Needle Holder is cute. It’s by Jenn, who is one of those quilters / generally amazing at everything she tries crafters who’s blog simultaneously inspires me and makes me despair at my lack of skill.
