Beetleshoes! Beetleshoes! Beetleshoes!!

R5akXLW

Let me just say first of all, I am not a painter, so I greatly admire anyone that can paint.

That being said, look at these shoes! They were painted by LavaBubbles over the course of five months. Unfortunately, there’s no other information available about these great shoes.

However, if you’re artistically inclined to created your own Ghost With The Most shoes, check out Deviant Art for some Netherworld-based inspiration. Or go on over to ChrissysBasement at Etsy to score yourself a pair of ready-made shoes.

These Are The Shoes You’re Looking For

BB8Shoes

I know I’ve posted shoe tutorials before, and there are certainly a lot of them out there, but this BB-8 Heels Tutorial is intense. To make your own BB-8 heels you’ll need to know how to weld, because that’s how user mikeasaurus attached the new 2.5″ steel post that supports the shoe and sports the rotating body of the cutest little droid ever.  The tutorial is great, complete with step-by-step pictures and detailed instructions.  If you’re like me and perhaps find welding a bit beyond your skill set, then maybe try adapting this cute shoe design to a pair of flats. Either way, these shoes would be a big hit at your next convention!

It Began With a Pair of Shoes…

doctor shoes

Gabrielledeschain posted these shoes she painted for her oldest daughter.

Her daughter found a pair online that she liked and sent over a picture. But alas, these $80 shoes from Colorado weren’t in Mom’s budget, since Mom’s unemployed because of her health.

But like any good mom, Gabrielledeschain wasn’t going to let that stop her. Gabrielledeschain’s mom even got involved by purchasing a pair of plain white shoes. And because Gabrielledeschain already had the paints, she got to working. Her series of photos on Imgur serve as a creative tutorial on how you could paint your own pair of Doctor Who shoes, customized for your favorite Doctor.

Painted Calvin and Hobbes Shoes

TS4EtjP

When Bill Watterson ended his daily comic strip “Calvin and Hobbes” on Dec. 31, 1995, it left a void in a lot of our hearts. And even more so, because Mr. Watterson didn’t have any product licensing for our favorite troublemaker and his best friend tiger. But thanks to crafty people like Bdopeness here, there are people who can create their own Calvin and Hobbes merchandise.

Bdopeness paints custom shoes and recently did this pair of canvas shoes.
