Craftster user Leslieshappyheart made these cute yet angry Angry Birds stitch markers out of polymer clay for a knitting swap partner. I have to admit that I haven’t played Angry Birds yet, but the crafts I’m seeing from it are awesome. Anyone else have any?

I need this hat. I don’t even wear hats and I want this hat on my head. As soon as I finish the 5 other projects I have on my needles I am casting this on. Designed by Ravelry user Allison MacAlister this Chain Chomp Hat will delight any gamer. MacAlister runs Knittingninja.com where she blogs about her knitting designs.
I want this hat. I NEED this hat. But I can’t knit, and I don’t know anyone who can do fair isle. I have tried to learn to knit, just so I can make this hat (I’m hopeless). Carol Schoenfelder posted this Stargate beanie over at Ravelry, and I truly think it’s the greatest hat ever. She used the gate symbols as well as traditional fair isle patterns, making this subtly geeky and incredible cool.
There’s a free tutorial on her Ravelry page, which means someone can make this for me, right? Pretty please?
Premier Yarns has a free PDF pattern of this super cute knit owl hat. It doesn’t hurt that I *love* the colors. If only I knit! They have a ton of other free patterns too, so check it out if you’re a knitter.

Hello out there! Now that the frenzy of the holidays has wound down, I can take a breath, break out my crafts, and properly introduce myself as one of the new members of the Geek Crafts crew.
I’m Sherezada, an indie filmmaker and writer. I’ve been a card-carrying geek since I was a kid. Some of my favorites include the original Star Wars trilogy, J.R.R. Tolkien, video games (especially BioWare-made games), horror-comedy films, and comic books.
I love showing my geek pride through my needlework, like this piece I stitched up of Nibbler from Futurama, and my Han Solo cross stich sampler. I also dabble in knitting and sewing, though I’m still getting the hang of both.
