Optimus Prime Made of Cans

Optimus Prime
More than meets the eye? Robyn Lee of Required Eating posted this picture of Optimus Prime made out of cans, taken by Matt Boulton. Apparently, there’s an annual contest in Vancouver where artists make all sorts of amazing sculptures from canned food. After the event, it’s all donated to food banks. They’ve got pictures of entries from the past four years – definitely worth a look.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Amigurumi

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Amigurumi
Craftster user Falwyn crocheted these super cute Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dolls for her kids, based on Atsuko’s pattern. Falwyn made the shells differently than Atsuko, and provided those directions in her post. Personally, I would have made the shells bigger, but all in all, this would make a great little gift for geeks large and small.

Transformers Toque

Transformers Toque

Craftster.org user subloke made this Transformers toque based on Baigneuse’s version, who made hers based on Flickr user twosixteen’s chart. Subloke even made the Transformers hat reversible – one side has Autobot and Decepticon icons and the other side says “more than meets the eye.”

She was even kind enough to post the pattern and instructions to the Transformers hat so anyone with the skillz can make one too!
