Hobbes Plushie

Hobbes plushie

As soon as I saw this amazing Hobbes pattern I wanted to dig out a crochet hook and teach myself just so I could make it.  He looks so cute and cuddly!

Designed by Ravelry user Sukigirl74, this pattern is available for free on her blog, Sukigirl.  Sukigirl74 designed this plushie for her son, and I can’t wait to make him for my little sisters, and perhaps one for myself!

There’s a Turkey on Your Head!

There's a turkey on your head!

Ever wanted to wear a Turkey on your head like a hat?  Well, now you can, without all the mess, with this great hat made by LittleBirdLucy on Etsy.  Her Etsy shop is filled with delightfully whimsical hats for all ages.  She has owl hats, bear ear hats, lovely caps for new-born babies, even Princess Leia Bun hats!

This Turkey hat would be a riot during the Holiday season, just make sure none of the more drunken relatives try to slice it up and eat it!

Strength, Power, and Courage!

Strength, Power, and Courage!

Designed by Marsha Auguste and available on Ravelry, this scarf represents some of the leading members of DC’s Justice League.

Each symbol is knit separately using double stitch, however since Auguste supplies a chart for each square it’s a simple switch to Intarsia or Fair Isle.  If using Fair Isle you’d have the advantage of making each symbol in the round, effectively making the scarf double sided.

This scarf has so many possibilities.  You could even use Auguste’s charts to make a Justice League blanket!

The pattern is available for free on Ravlery as well as on Auguste’s blog, One Geek to Stitch Them All.

Knit a Sonic Screwdriver

Eleven's knitted sonic screwdriverWhat’s better than a sonic screwdriver?  A hand knit sonic screwdriver!

The pattern is easy to follow and is a great way to use up some leftover yarn.
