Spyro

Recently, my husband and I have become addicted to the game Skylanders. As a huge Spyro fan since I was young, I knew that I would love this game immediately. What I didn’t expect was to be scouring the internet for Skylanders crafts before I’ve had breakfast.

That being said, I didn’t find many Skylanders crafts that weren’t meant as party favors for children’s parties. So I settled on trying to find something Spyro related. The lack of Spyro crafts is sad, but I finally stumbled upon the forum called Sprite Stitch. A forum for cross stitch patterns based on video games.

After a bit of searching, I found a great Spyro pattern for any cross stitcher.

If Spyro isn’t your thing, you can find a list of their patterns here to find a pattern more suited for you.

It’s Dangerous to Go Alone. Take This.

Here’s the thing, I have been searching for little but awesome ways to make my new house geekified. While I’m not going to be painting a Triforce symbol on my wall, something little like this key holder is an amazing idea.

I came across it one day on tumblr and have since been trying to resist the urge to buy it. Geeky and Chic on Etsy has created this is a great piece of small geekiness that will get any Zelda fan giggling.

Engraved Glasses

I’ve always loved the look of engraved glasses. Truthfully, I blame it on McDonalds and the glasses that they gave out for a Disney anniversary. I think it’s a really classy way of showing your geeky side, while still remaining functional.

Over at PlacidRain on Etsy, they’ve made this awesome idea and turned into a shop of amazing art. Custom glass fanart, ranging from Moogles and Chocobos to Super Mario to Pokemon, even Totoro. As I scroll through this shop I have a meme in my head shouting “BUY ALL OF THE GLASSES!!!!”

TARDIS Key

As someone who recently bought a new house, I’ve been looking for some adorable and geeky ways to spruce up the place. Then today, I came across this adorable tutorial for a TARDIS key.

Haley from The Zen of Making posted this great step by step tutorial to create your very own TARDIS key. It’s a cheap and simple way to show your nerdy side and help keep your keys from getting mixed up.

After all, home is where the TARDIS is.

Spoilers, Sweetie.

As someone who’s been coveting a River Song journal since it was first introduced, when I came across this post in an Livejournal Community called Crafty Tardis, I knew that I had to have it.

eveywiecherton on Livejournal gives amazing steps on how to create your own River Song cover. The steps are clear, with pictures to help guide the way, and I’m sure it can be adjusted to fit any e-reader you may have.

Granted, getting an e-reader should probably come first, but still. Once I finally buy one, making this cover will be the first order of business.

A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words

I have this obsession with typography. It is one of the coolest forms of art there is. I continue to try my hand at it, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Then there are those times where I come across people who have this amazing talent for it and I’m just flabbergasted.

Skahfee Studios is one of those people. Ranging in geeky typography from Star Wars to World of Warcraft to Doctor Who. All of these pieces of art are amazing. Each made out of quotes or lines from famous TV shows and movies, all constructed to make beautiful pictures.
