As usual, True Up pointed me to an awesome new fabric line I can’t live without… this time, it’s the vintage video game prints in the Smirk collection by Kyla May. I love this Pac-Man design the most, but she also has a Space Invaders pattern in three colorways!

Everyone needs to get clean from time to time, and what better way to accomplish this than with a bar of soap shaped like an old-school NES controller?? Chrystal Doucette’s Digitalsoaps store on Etsy sells all kinds of gamer-shaped soaps: controllers for the NES, Xbox, and the Wii. There are even soaps shaped like actual games! Mortal Kombat II for the Sega, Zombies Ate My Neighbors for the SNES, and even a Space Invaders Atari cartridge (with little green pixelated invaders available for purchase as well!) Do yourself a favor and click around the shop–you’ll find many more geeky gamer soaps.
Recently I’ve been doing lots of traveling, and tiny bags or clutches are instrumental in organization and packing. This Space Invaders clutch bag is perfect!! I especially love the pink zipper and handle… ooh and the pleats! The only thing I’m left to wonder is, where did you find that great fabric stellarcheri?!

I don’t like to play favorites, but I always get excited when I see a submission from our self proclaimed number one fan, Dawn Crawford. She and her equally geektastic husband, Brian, participate in the annual Bordo Bello Skateboard Art Fundraiser, last year, we featured her husband’s amazing Space Invaders Star Wars Mashup Skateboard (it lit up!) and this year, I couldn’t help myself when I saw this R2 Board2 on her blog.
