Wonderfallz on Raverly the designer behind Thea Eschliman Designs has another great pattern. The Hocus Pocus cowl. A very fitting design for the season. And the drop in temperature.
The pattern is available for purchase on Raverly, and intrepid knitters have converted the pattern into hats, gloves, and bags.
Heather Boggs of Madison, WI, might be better known as “Stitch Boom Bang,” from her blog of the same name. And if you read through her blog, you’ll learn she is a knitting fiend and possibly a huge fan of the movie, “The Shining.” So much so, that she has created a series of hats, based on patterns in the movie.
My favorite: the Wendy. Made of wool, it matches the shirt and jumper Shelly Duvall wore in one particular scene.
Heather said, that typically, she doesn’t believe in pompoms because they are a waste of yarn and a pain in the ass to make. And I have to admit, I thought this was a pretty good crafting quote if there ever was one: “However, Shelley Duvall deserves a pompom. According to Wikipedia, which is the goddamn gospel of the internet, Kubrick made Shelley Duvall and Jack Nicholson do 127 takes of the baseball bat scene. For that, she deserves more than a few stiff drinks, but all I can offer is a pompom.”

PeeWee Parker is a doll maker extraordinaire. Just one look at his Flickr site shows his talent for taking existing dolls and giving them full repaints. Here, PeeWee has taken your run of the mill Barbie doll and turned her into Michonne from “The Walking Dead.”
I wasn’t able to find any information on Peewee online to know more about him, so all we can do is ooooh and ahhhh over his creations.
We’re in the final countdown to Christmas, my fellow geeks! My gifts are wrapped, my decorations are up, and (most of) the messy aftermath of wrapping and decorating has been stowed away. I know everyone is super busy this time of year, but I’m sure you can spare a few minutes to make these two adorable papercraft Krampuses! (Kramps? Krampi?) If you haven’t yet been introduced to Krampus, the Christmas Devil, boy oh boy, are you missing out.
This lil’ green guy was created by Christopher Bonnette. I made him a couple years ago when I first found out about the Krampus. He even comes with an accessory: a terrified child for his basket! The other, much hairier, Krampus was created by Uncle Ghastly. I just made him a couple nights ago! So far both Krampuses are getting along famously! And I’m making sure to be on my best behaviour, of course. I don’t want to end up in their baskets!
Zombie snowflakes! (Zomflakes? Znowflakes?) Perfect for that touch of the macabre in your Christmas decor. The pattern is by Buz Carter and was discovered over on Zombie Christmas.

Well known for “thinking outside of the box,” Allen is constantly looking outside of the Haunted attraction industry for products and techniques that can be adapted or remade to fit the need of Haunted attractions.
With just two colors of hot glue sticks, Allen has a video tutorial that shows you how to make prop teeth for sets, costumes, props, and masks.
