I *just* emailed my friend Erica tonight about taking a class on stamp carving at Paper-Source in a couple months, so it was super cool to find this on Craftster tonight. chrispykreme carved the apple image from the cover of Twilight as a stamp to use as bookplates. I really want to try this!
Creeper World – new RTS/defense game
Ok, this one is totally NOT crafty at all, but a new PC/MAC game is absolutely geeky. The only reason I’m posting this is because a friend of mine created this game. The game is called Creeper World and it’s a RTS/Tower Defense type game for PC and MAC. You can find out more and download a free demo at http://knucklecracker.com. I typically dislike RTS games but I played through the first three levels right before I wrote this and enjoyed it thoroughly. I’ll be going back to finish the demo.
Narnia Costume
It’s way past my bedtime, but I wanted to post this real quick – Craftster user embercostumer, along with her brothers are making these amazing Narnia costumes. Definitely click through to see more photos of their works in progress.
Crocheted Mario Raccoon Rug
enemyairship just posted for the first time on Craftster and she’s starting off good! She crocheted this 8-bit Mario Raccoon (my favorite Mario!) rug as a birthday present for her boyfriend. And it’s huge – 7 feet! Click through for some in progress photos as well as how she went about making this with granny squares.
Twilight Tote Bag
Craftster ysmeine made this dreamy Twilight tote bag
“from two posters that I got in a magazine. They are covered in vinyl and interfaced, so that it is very sturdy. I used scrap webbing and lining fabric that I had on hand.”
Sorry for the brief teenage girl moment.
Fleur Delacour Costume
Prendolyn the Weird blogs all Harry Potter crafts, all the time at Wilcox Wizard Wear. Click through to read five posts detailing how she made this wonderful Fleur Delacour costume to wear to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She did everything from sewing the dress and capelet to painting a pair of shoes to making the wool hat. (Is there a verb for hat making? Besides hat making?) I am in awe and plan on spending some quality time reading her entire blog.
