I must be missing Halloween today, because I’m all about cosplay for some reason!
This little weeping angel appeared at the Chicago Comic Entertainment Expo this year. I don’t know her name, only that her parents rock for helping with such a great costume. David Ngo was lucky enough to get this photo without being hurt in the process.
I was a little late to the party to get hooked on “Adventure Time,” but I’m with it now and loving these AT cosplays. (For those of you unfamiliar with AT, “…(originally titled Adventure Time with Finn & Jake[2]) is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada), a human boy, and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio), a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Along the way, they interact with the other main characters of the show: Princess Bubblegum (voiced by Hynden Walch), The Ice King (voiced by Tom Kenny), and Marceline the Vampire Queen (voiced by Olivia Olson).”
First up, we have Marceline the Vampire Queen, Fiona the Human, and Princess Bubblegum of the Candy Kingdom.
Next up, we have Simon in his pre-Ice King days and a young Marceline. “This fantastic Adventure Time cosplay gives us Marceline and the Ice King as Marcy and Simon. It’s a sweetly done bit of costuming by Twinzik Cosplay that looks deceptively simple but includes lots of great details. Not only are their clothes perfect, but the makeup and facial prosthetics are spot on and very well done. I would absolutely love to have this set of Tetris bookshelves in my living room! Or my bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom, for that matter! They are so awesome! And the best bit is that each Tetris piece is separate, so you can arrange them however you’d like! It was made by johloh on Craftster, and I definitely think he should go into business making more!

Many moons ago, on the ides of March, I posted about the Snailvengers and that there were more team members in the works and patterns in production. Crocheters gather your hooks! There are now patterns available in the etsy shop. And if that wasn’t good enough, look at Snail Coulson. Look at his CARDS. He has snail cap trading cards people. SNAIL CAP CARDS. And if somehow the snailvengers are not your speed. Maybe the scarlet speedster is more to your pace.

Crocheting is already awesome, but you know what would make it even better? Adding lightsabers. Channel the force as you make scarves, dolls, and whatever else you like to create while wielding a lightsaber crochet hook. They’re very nifty and might just help keep your hand from excess cramping. Cherelle made these super fun, hook grips out of polymer clay.
